![]() ![]() I still have mostly error messages, connections dropping etc. Unfortunately 1.7.3 does not change the situation. When 1.7.3 came out I was happy since it mentioned solving a lot of problems I was having as well. I did multiple uninstalls, manual removing remaining register entries and directories (the uninstall does not really do a full uninstall, already discovered that with prior upgrades). I got a lot of "connection timed out" error messages. I had installed 1.7.2, but had a lot of issues and for unclear reasons sometimes it worked and sometimes it did not. That's not to say there isn't an issue on the synergy end, but it's a place to check to make sure the SSL presently on the system is modern. If there is a significant version mismatch (usually a very old OpenSSL), it's possible that it doesn't support some routine we use from the more modern OpenSSL. This will only ensure that a given executable will have the correct plugin version, but not ensure that the server/client(s) relationship will be compatible.Īnd as a small addition, Errors that look like this:Įrror:140C5042:SSL routines:SSL_UNDEFINED_FUNCTION:called a function you should not calĪre errors we receive from OpenSSL. We're working on having the SSL plugin delivered via the install process rather than the wizard, but it didn't make the cut for 1.7.3 release. The wizard builds the correct file setup, and the new plugin needs to be downloaded. There are differences between the pre-1.7.3 plugins and the 1.7.3 plugins as well as a few differences in the locations of parts of the plugin structure. Make sure not to skip the wizard and run it through to completion. Starting with 1.64.0 these binaries have been uploaded to jfrog artifactory, previous versions can still be found at Sourceforge.Īlso in each release directory is a SHA256SUMS file file which provide the hashes of each installer to ensure that they are not tampered with or otherwise corrupted. There is also a file "DEPENDENCY_VERSIONS.txt" that lists the versions of visual studio, python, etc that were used for the build. In each release there is a log of the build output showing any errors. The _b1, _b2, etc directories are the betas. These installers provide the listed binaries along with the complete source release (headers, source, documentation, tests, tools), so there is no need to install that from a zip file first. Starting with 1.54.0 binaries are available packaged in the installers available here (pervious versions listed are packages of individual libraries for use with the deprecated boost-pro installer). ![]()
